It’s never a question of can you, but will you?  Some days are harder than others…agree?
I was sore from a yoga flow class last night where I felt comfortably uncomfortable in many poses.  I honestly was not in the mood to push myself this morning (I knew what was coming – haha).  I could have FIT blocked myself with excuses and gone about my day but ultimately I know I was being laaaazy.
I’ve learned these are the times to push myself harder, break through that process and feel the endorphin high…within 2 minutes I was thankful I hit play, 1/2 way through my sweat fest I was like WTF Shaun-T as it hurt so good, to damn I’m a warrior, to yes high five to me.  I chose me, I chose to see my strength, I chose to push myself beyond what I was feeling, now I feel stronger and ready to roar through the day.  What will you choose today to improve your tomorrows?!

It’s never too late…

change the road on

No matter the day, time or place it’s never too late to take charge of your life and change the road you’re on. If we waited for the perfect moment to make a life change we wouldn’t get very far, there is always another obstacle waiting in the distance that will enter and after awhile you end up right where you started. It’s time to start pushing through the obstacles one at a time.

I call this the cycle that keeps on giving…sometimes we go through those cycles more than we care to admit. We tend to ignore our true passions and feelings because we want to “do right” and yet we end up miserable and complaining. There is a reason certain events comes back around either you didn’t deal with it properly, ignored it or you decided to go for it but got nervous, had a few failed attempts and it faded. Ultimately, you feel you pushed through and learned a lesson but it was still lingering in the back of your mind.

When you begin to feel “hmmmm, I feel like I’ve been here before” and the situation is similar, the questions in your head are similar if not deeper, the excitement and fear of change rush through your body, this is not a coincidence YOU are being given another chance another opportunity to change the road you’re on. It won’t be easy or perfect but it will be movement, it will be growth, it will be YOU pushing through the obstacles one day at a time to make your dreams and goals come true.

Happy ThuROARsday!  Who is ready to ROAR like a lion with me?!  How awesome is it when you feel 100% satisfied with where you are, what you are doing and who you are surrounded by?  Write down and remember the things that make YOU YOU and be true to that.  Don’t jump on a trend or not speak your mind on something you feel strongly about because you might offend someone ummm aren’t you allowing them to offend you by not sticking up for what you believe??  Think about it…nothing changes until you decide it’s important enough for it to change in your life.

True happiness and freedom come from getting real (ohh I know it’s not always easy – I can argue with myself pretty well;)ha), from learning and growing from within, from making changes where we know are needed in order to move on and/or grow, from not fearing being different, being creative and sharing your out of this world ideas.  All of us are unique individuals, choose to ROAR in your element that fits you and love who YOU are…you weird, unique, awesome individual;)  In the end, haters gonna hate and likers gonna like;)

Time to Get Even…

with the positive people in your life.

Time spent “getting even” with the people that help and support you in life increases the overall happiness and positive energy in your lives.  In return, being more fulfilling mentally and emotionally.

Wouldn’t you agree that this far outweighs the mental and emotional energy you spend “getting even” with negative relationships that end up continuing to be unfulfilling?!!  Think about it.  Next time you begin to put more focus on negativity, ask yourself if it will benefit you in the right direction, will it help you reach your goals, and how it will make you feel.

Get Even

Can you imagine doing what you love?

Can you imagine doing what you love?  How would you feel?  What is stopping you?!!

You get these little lights that go off in your head but you ignore them thinking wouldn’t that be nice or ahhhh a girl/boy can dream.  Don’t deny yourself from what you love!  If you want positive change in your life you must take steps and set goals to make it happen.  Change will show up, it will knock really hard and look you in the face but what you choose to do with it, how you choose to respond is completely on you.  You have to be willing to make sacrifices, put in the time and do the work every damn day!

If you want to feel fulfilled everyday do what you love!  Stop ignoring, push harder and do more!  Live your dream and you will excell.  It’s time to exit the safe bubble.  The bubble you claim to feel safe in.  The bubble that you complain about.  The same bubble that makes you feel sick physically, mentally and emotionally.  It becomes more draining and difficult to keep doing what you’re doing than to follow what you love. 

It won’t happen overnight but listening to yourself, being honest with yourself and doing what you love will change how you live.  Believe in you and all your awesomeness!!

Be Your Own Hero…

I Am My Own Hero.   Have you or do you feel this way?!  What have you done to be your own hero?!  I have been feeling this way as I accomplish goals, set new ones, check things off my to-do list, add new to-dos and as I progress through my workouts feeling stronger and trying new poses to test my strength.  I’m creating and building the life I want to live…it’s happening and I did it myself.  …I knew I had to make life changes 2 years ago or the cycle I was in would continue to repeat and I couldn’t continue living the way I was…bad eating habits, enjoying cocktails way more often and way more than necessary (causing a day of recovery – what happens in your 30s – haha), feeling unfulfilled in my career, and not making decisions that would propel me to push forward as the strong person I am.
Yes I had friends and family telling me good job, proud of you but they weren’t trying to make life changes and some of them were part of my temptations I was changing so I utilized my Beachbody friends for accountability and pushed through.  I’m thankful for the support from others but it was me who made the decision everyday to improve and I focused on my goals, how I was feeling after just a week, after a month, and so on, and I had to continue to remember how far I had/have come and it becomes easier and you become stronger and life just starts changing and you see clearly and the life you were creating you see developing right before your eyes and you are living it…what a feeling!!
I knew the key was getting my fitness and health back on track and once I began  my world started to change immediately…small changes leading to life long habits.  It doesn’t happen over night, I work on it daily and now after 2 years it’s natural and my norm:)  I have balanced my life and I’m living a healthy lifestyle that allows me to have my fitness/health, social/fun, relationships, and career work together  Yes. I have good and bad days, but I set goals and I choose me…I AM MY OWN HERO!  I choose me, my health, and my positive relationships over any bad choice any day of the week..I’m still working on things I always will it’s a lifestyle you have to work it for it to stay;)  I’m happy I chose me…I’m in a better place physically, mentally, and emotionally and am ready to continue to reach my big goals and see the endless opportunities.  Do not hesitate to message me or ask me questions I’m here to help – we need each other to be accountable and hold us to our goals!  Cheers to living a healthy, fit and fun life!   xo
